BRIEF INTRODUCTION
Once a land of pristine beauty and abundant prosperity, Manipur now bears the scars of time and turmoil. Its once-lush landscapes, adorned with sparkling rivers and rolling hills, now echo with the somber dissonance of loss and longing. A poignant reminder of the fragility of human existence, the state's present condition is a heartbreaking testament to the ravages of conflict and unrest.

As I look back on my time in Manipur, I am filled with both sadness and hope. The memories of my visit during the Global Youth Meets in 2014 are still fresh in my mind. The positive developments that I witnessed in the state at that time left a lasting impression on me. But today, the situation in Manipur is very different. It is heartbreaking to see the violence and unrest that has engulfed the region, erasing all the progress that was made towards prosperity and growth.
During my visit, I was amazed by the level of participation in the Global Youth Meets. Our youth organization, Green Youth Generation that I was running at that time, had the highest number of participants from different countries, including Nepal, Bangladesh, and Indonesia. I had the opportunity to present my ideas on "The Algorithm of Leadership," and it was an incredible experience. I met young leaders from 17 nations, all with different backgrounds, experiences, and expertise. It was truly a great learning experience, and I left Manipur feeling optimistic about the future of the state.
However, as I read about the current situation in Manipur, my heart aches. The state has been plagued by violence, insurgency, and political instability for many years. Despite some positive developments, such as the improvement of infrastructure and the expansion of the economy, the peace and prosperity that we all hoped for seem to be slipping away. The recent clashes between different ethnic groups have only exacerbated the situation, leading to more violence and unrest.
It is difficult to see the state of Manipur today, knowing the potential that it had just a few years ago. But amidst the sadness, I am still hopeful. I believe that there are still young leaders out there who are committed to making a positive difference in their communities and the world. These are the same young leaders that I met during the Global Youth Meets, who inspired me with their passion and dedication to creating a better future.
I know that it will not be an easy task. The challenges that Manipur faces are complex and deeply rooted. However, I believe that the power of young leaders cannot be underestimated. They have the energy, creativity, and determination to make a difference. With their help and guidance, we can build a future that is brighter, more peaceful, and more prosperous than anything we have seen before.
It is crucial that we support these young leaders in any way that we can. We need to provide them with the resources and opportunities they need to make their visions a reality. We must also listen to their voices and ideas, and work with them to find solutions that are sustainable and equitable. By doing so, we can create a future where everyone has the chance to succeed and thrive, regardless of their background or circumstances.
As I reflect on my time in Manipur, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to have met so many incredible young leaders. They gave me hope for the future, and I am confident that they will continue to do so, even in the face of adversity. I will continue to support their efforts in any way that I can, and I urge others to do the same. Together, we can build a future that is brighter and more prosperous for everyone.
Despite the challenges that Manipur is facing, I believe that the state has the potential to achieve greatness. The people of Manipur are resilient and hardworking, and they have demonstrated their capacity for innovation and progress. It is essential that we recognize the strengths of the state and work to build upon them.
One of the most critical factors in achieving lasting prosperity is education. Education is the key to unlocking the potential of young people and empowering them to make a positive difference in their communities. We must invest in education and ensure that every child in Manipur has access to quality education. Education should not be a privilege but a fundamental right that is accessible to all.
Another critical factor in achieving lasting prosperity is sustainable development. Manipur is blessed with natural resources, and it is vital that we utilize them in a way that is sustainable and responsible. We must ensure that our economic growth does not come at the expense of the environment. We must invest in renewable energy and other green technologies that will create jobs and promote economic growth while also protecting the planet.
Finally, we must prioritize peace and reconciliation. The violence and unrest that have plagued Manipur for years have only served to hold the state back. We must work towards a lasting peace that is based on mutual respect and understanding. We must listen to the voices of all communities and work towards a solution that is inclusive and equitable.
As I look back on my time in Manipur, I am reminded of the incredible potential that the state has. I am filled with hope for the future, and I believe that young leaders will be the driving force behind the state's transformation. We must support these young leaders in any way that we can and ensure that they have the tools they need to make a positive impact.
The current situation in Manipur is undoubtedly distressing, but we must not give up hope. The state has incredible potential, and with the support of young leaders and the international community, we can build a future that is bright, peaceful, and prosperous. It will not be an easy journey, but it is one that is worth taking. Let us work together to create a better future for Manipur and the world.
